"He's from the world of the old school of movies. 'The Getaway', 'The Wild Bunch'. I see him in that world. He loves movies. '3:10 to Yuma', to me, was one of the best remakes ever. It's very difficult to top an original and I think he did that absolutely beautifully because I don't think the Glen Ford/Delmer Daves version worked as well as the one he did." - Thanks, Caliope, Steph alexanderhiggins.com: Man Of Steel Trailer full screen - Costner's voice - Thanks, Caliope The Age au: Grace Huang talks about TMWTIF - She mentions Russell at the 2:20 mark - Thanks, Allison July 29 TOFOG - Painted Veil - House Of Blues Chicago 2003Empire Mag: Les Miserables: We Compare The Stars' Vocal Chords - How will the cast fare in Tom Hooper's live-sung musical? CGee in Sydney on the game: "...What can I say about this team that is coming into their own, and by that I mean each player is fulfilling their potential in so many ways. This game didn't have the benefit of Greg Inglis or Isaac Luke but they didn't miss a beat against an admittedly injury depleted Tigers team. The day was highlighted by great line breaks and 'never say die' runs - McQueen, Taylor, Sutton and the consistently fabulous Nathan Merritt. It was a team effort and a joy to watch! Souths defeat the West Tigers - 32-6." From Mary Anne at TRC: We have another batch of new-old videos; these are from the ABM promotion. They include the MTV appearance, E! Behind the Scenes, the Austin movie premiere, and a bit about the odds of ABM winning at the Golden Globes. Located on this page. July 24 Indie Wire: Russell Crowe To Make Directorial Debut With Bill Hicks Biopic, Production To Start In 2013 - Crowe is currently wrapped up in Iceland shooting Darren Aronofsk's biblical epic “Noah,” but afterwards is planning a biopic on comedian Bill Hicks' life for his debut behind the camera. Primarily known for notoriety gained over his signature stage presence and cutting material, Hicks still attracted a massive following that has only grown in size since his death in 1994, and one that Crowe is hoping will show up for his take on the man's life. "Bill Hicks' life is tragically short, but spectacularly interesting," said Mark Staufer, an old schoolmate of Crowe's that penned the script, "The screenplay has gone through a number of drafts and we'll go into production early next year." - Thanks, Kris C July 23 Vulture.com: Russell Crowe to Direct Bill Hicks Biopic The Sunday Times za - Offical Trailer - Man of Steel - Good Quality - Thanks, Steph, Caliope (see below)

It started at the 3rd mn with a try and never stopped. Great defence, great attacks from all the boys! Nathan Merritt scored 3 tries. Unfortunately Greg Inglis is on report for a "dangerous" tackle on a Dragons player who was injured and sadly had to leave on a strecher. To my view it was a normal hit but it's the referee's decision. What a pity! South Sydney wins 36-14. They are up 3 on the ladder! Go the Bunnies!" onlocationvacations.com: First look at the set of ‘Noah’ in New York - Thanks, Allison The Scorecard Review: ‘The Man with the Iron Fists’ starring RZA and Russell Crowe – red band trailer review - Thanks, Allison July 20 Russell Crowe @russellcrowe Seems Iceland even with major maritime history knows not the balancing benefits of Ginger Beer,I find that mysterious..#whyweren'ttheytold?

July 16 From CGee - The Souths More Than Win - "It was a game that was pretty much over with 4 minutes left to go. But Souths just kept on coming, with a determination and a destiny and scored one try to come back from the dead. Then they came like a runaway freight train from one end of the field to the other, to score a phenomenal try to tie the game, and with no time on the clock, kicked to win the game! [A] I was working with him on different films as I was writing the movie. I think it was during The Next Three Days when I mentioned it to him. We was just laughing about it and he thought it was interesting. As the screenplay got more and more developed, I talked to him about it. He said it wasn’t his cup, but artistically he believes in me as an artist. We became friends because he believes in me as an artist. He said, “I think you can do this. But I am a serious actor. This is what I do. This is not a game.” So I made sure that I represented my best [on the film].
