The Actors Studio Taping

Another report from Val:

What can I say? I"m in groupie heaven here. My RCO is off the charts!

He was very concerned about reaching the students and stressing the importance of being prepared for a role.......he obviously takes his acting very seriously. Most of the stories were not new, but he's always fun to watch and listen to.

Did not know his parents were bankrupt and he bought the farm for them. Would not tell his parents how broke he was also; wound up borrowing money from Jack Thompson to buy the farm for his folks. Sweet.

I have never in my life seen someone fidget so much in one sitting. Pull the ear, stroke the beard, rake fingers through hair, pick lint off his pants, (how much lint could there be?) , scratch leg, tug at pants, go back to the earlobe, and smoke, smoke, smoke!

Like I said, he did talk for 5 hours....(would you expect anything less?) I was also taken aback at how upset he was about the Time interview -- mentioning being called a "jerk" several times........ He did mention the press several times and it's clear there is no love lost there.

The feeling I came away with was, I really like this guy and I was sorry I couldn't sit down somewhere, have a beer and talk through the night. Honestly, just talk.

He's a complicated, passionate, interesting guy.

Did I mention he hardly looked at Lipton and basically ran the show?

It's so obvious from the way he talks that he adores his family.

He now has 1400 acres of land and loves his chickens and dogs, etc. Wish I could be Honey.

And during the Q&A, he sat on the stage, smoking, cursing and yakking his head off?

We did wait for him outside after the show, but he looked pooped and only signed for a couple of people. Then he said "Gnight" and hopped into the SUV. Did I say that already?

The ending? Favorite word? Something his Mom used and can't remember it.

The other questions he really thought about, it wasn't a quick answer like most celebs.........
Favorite curse word? @#%$ me swinging.......

When you get to heaven.........etc. (He chimed in, "there is a heaven") God will say "G'day" so J. Lipton said, "Ah, an Australian God."

Favorite sound? Cello.

Least Favorite? TV in the next room

Least Fave word? Hollywood Bad Boy......

Thanks, Val
