have started rebuilding the front of the old Simpsons Department Store
into a perfect reconstruction of the old Gardens. It is AMAZING!!!
The whole right lane is blocked with trucks and they are in the process
of putting up the awning and the sign PLUS they have gone to the left
and right recreating shops and posters up advertising events in the
Gardens at the time. It is just beautiful.
I hope that some other Toronto area Perchers and lurkers will be able
to go down this weekend and see it. They are about half done it looks
like and the road is restricted I heard until June 30th. It is not listed
on the Toronto road restriction information but I heard it in passing
on the radio this morning and it got me curious. As I walk that way
home I stopped by today.
I would guess that they will do night filming to get the hubbub of a
big fight night. And they should have a bunch of extras coming and going.
