From CGee: Souths Win - It was a great game, hard hitting and hard fought by both teams. First half was mostly even, with Manly throwing a lot at Souths but our defense was up to the task and we went into the sheds with a 6-4 lead. In the remainder of the game Souths kept picking up confidence with offloads and set plays that Manly had little answer for. Two quick trys and head’s up play told the tale, lead by outstanding performance by Keary/Sutton/Luke/Burgess - South defeat Manly 20-8.

From CGee: Souths Lose - "Souths started slow and the young West Tiger team capitalized on that, scoring two quick trys to lead at the half, 12-6.It didn’t get much better in the second half, with the Tigers cutting through Souths’ defense with solid runs and smart plays. Souths just couldn’t get anything going and in the end the West Tigers won, 34-6."
