Some spoilers:

Just saw "Children of Men " this afternoon in a movie theater in Paris.

You just had to give a look at my face at the end of the credits to guess that I thought I have never seen something like this before and be persuaded I was part of one of these "cinematic expereinces " that a movie-goer like will never forget.

This is a truly a movie everyone which has been part of it can be proud of. Clive was very moving and make me laugh with his little touches of cynism well placed at the beginning. The amount of tears I shed at the end must be equal to the amount at the end of "Bent ".

Julianne's character disappears in a very awful way, in a sequence so realistic and so terrfying that I think I'll need several days to recover from it. Michael Caine was very touching and witty in his role of "wise baba-cool ". If I didn't know it was all CGI, I would have had the same reaction than the soldiers and the people in the building towards the baby (same technic used in "The Perfume" I guess). The music was haunting and inspiring (John Tavener, King Crimsom, John Lennon ...) and the direction ... Well it's supposed to take place in the future but very often I felt like I was watching some images taken from TV news , with the big difference that I didn't feel apart from what was shown but litterally thrown in it.

Great movie , definitely

Cheers ;) Steph

PS : Don't want to be too spoilerish but at the end watching Clive reminds me Arthur Rimbaud poem "Le dormeur du val".
